About Us:
We are a family-owned/operated small business that has been open here in Millsboro for 40 years. We are currently looking for a 4th Sales Team Member to join our Showroom Sales Team!

Showroom Team Members are selling decorative lighting (chandeliers, wall lights, lamps), paddle fans and home decorations (like art or mirrors). Most of our Customers are Homeowners—whether they come in on their own, or are referred by local Builders. If you want to see our products, go to DenneyLightingDesign.com

Inventory Management:

Showroom Team Members are expected to help out every day when it comes to stocking displays (refilling light bulbs), pulling orders from the Warehouse (putting paddle fans on a push-cart and rolling them into the Showroom) and merchandising (making tags for products).

Property Management:

Showroom Team Members are expected to help out every day in making sure that the Showroom is clean—wiping down counters, dusting paddle fans and light fixtures, vacuuming the carpets, etc.

Product Knowledge: We use the American Lighting Association training program (10 online sessions, ~30-45 minutes each) which cover all the topics you need to know. We also have lots of training materials we’ve made in-house. And at the end, there is a test to become a certified “Lighting Associate!” Don’t worry, most people pass it on the first try 😊

Computer Skills: You need to be able to use basic email and also our Point-Of-Sale system.

Customer Service: You need to be able to work with the Customers who come in and be able to help them whether they are friendly or not

Here is the Showroom sales counter. Each Showroom Team Member has a desk spot to store their belongings and work papers.
Here are both of our consultation desks for when we are helping Customers with looking at catalogs, viewing our products website, looking at pictures of their rooms, or reviewing basic measurements.
Here is a north-facing view of our Showroom. You can see lots of chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and all those table/floor lamps lined up along the windows. People like to come into our Showroom because they like to be able to see the products with their eyes and take them home the day.
On our south wall, you can see bathroom lights and wall lanterns. Up above, you can see some examples of paddle fans that we sell.

Here is a quick look at our Showroom Team. We have a Showroom Manager (20+ years exp.), and three other Showroom Team Members (two of which have been here with 5+ years exp.). We pride ourselves on being a company full of people that treat each other respectfully, especially including new Team Members.
